Salt Brook Academy, a Senior Secondary School, has completed its SILVER JUBILEE YEAR. We have three streams: Arts, Science and Commerce. For the last 26 years, we have been working tirelessly to impart the best education. Our Alumina speaks of our quality. From holding posts in Public service to Scientists in the Indian Institute of Science DRDO, in the IT sector, Bank, Insurance, a Brookian is to be found in almost every sector.

Last year a Class XI student cleared the prestigious KVPY Examination. Over hundreds have cleared the NEET, JEE (MAINS), JEE (ADVANCE), and other competitive examinations and pleased to mention that many have become Chartered Accountants.

Our regular classes include presentations for Entrance Examinations. From this year, an additional video class will be introduced for this purpose. There shall be 'No Extra Charges' for these classes.

One must not forget the relentless efforts of Prof. (Dr.) Inamul Haque, in establishing this institute, left us on 2nd February 2014 for his heavenly adobe.

ASWINI DOWERAH
Director
Salt Brook Academy
Dibrugarh, Assam.

For me education is all about building character, enriching minds and gaining eclectic experiences that last a lifetime. In our academy we try our best to channelize the potentialities of the students in the right direction. We give priority to help the students concretize their own dreams.
From my years of experience in the field of education, I have witnessed a grim reality that parents often hope to live their dreams through their children. But in doing so, they tend to forget the reality that children are not their extensions. They have their own individualities with their own likes and dislikes. Some parents try to impose their thoughts on their children and fulfil their unfulfilled aims of becoming doctors, engineers, administrative officers, bankers, sportsperson etc through their children. Children, being emotionally pressurised, tussle with their conscience silently and try to materialise the dreams of their parents. But in the long run, these children suffer from mental anguish, bereft of job satisfaction. So, it is the duty of the parents to give value to the ideologies of their children; which are not genetic but a result of circumstances, environment and the generation to which they belong. Otherwise, the mindsets of all children born of some parents would have been identical. So, it is my earnest advice to the parents to help their children give wings to their dreams.
I sum up my message with a quotation from Khalil Gibran:
“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.”
Mr Ranjit Boruah , Principal

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Education plays a key role in the overall development of the society. The role of education is definitely not limited to giving and grasping knowledge and theory. The quest of education is knowledge, humanity, culture, wisdom and sharpness but it should be noted that knowledge is not given but earned and character is not granted but cultivated.

Salt Brook Academy not only focuses on the theoretical curriculum, but also help in the development of a student personality, extra-curricular activities and over all perspective. Everything that makes a good institution are - a highly trained faculty, rich library, teaching methods, liberty to think and express themselves - we have it here..

I firmly believe that our Salt Brook Academy is more than just a place to learn. It gives you a chance to grow by equipping with everything you need to achieve excellence. We are also imparting students with best qualified teachers to crack Entrance Examination like JEE/NEET/CLAT/ACET etc.

I wish all the students a grand success in their career and prosperity in their future life.
